Job Overview
Under general supervision and according to established procedures, provides basic medical assistance to physicians/providers and nurses by providing basic preparation of patients according to area specific Policy and Procedures including but not limited to vital signs, procedure assistance, lab sample collection, chart preparation, maintenance of charts, and answering phones. Assists patients as needed. Utilizes department specific computer systems for entry and retrieval of patient data.
Qualifications
Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent and less than one year of previous work related experience plus three to six months of on the job training and orientation. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program. Bilingual preferred.
