Medical Billing Specialist [Penn Medicine - Becker ENT & Allergy]
Penn Medicine - Becker ENT & Allergy is a fast-growing, multi-specialty practice with several locations throughout Philadelphia and Central and South Jersey. Our staff includes otolaryngologists, audiologists, facial plastic surgeons, allergists, speech-language pathologists, and nurse practitioners and we offer specialized care for a wide range of health problems.
We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist to join our company in South Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who has strong customer service skills and works well under pressure. By joining Penn Medicine Becker ENT & Allergy, you will be joining a practice with plenty of room for growth.
Job Duties:
Insurance A/R
Ensure questions/concerns from patient calls are addressed in appropriate timeframe
Responsible for verifying accurate payment postings
Release of proper billing statements to patients
Report claim processing errors due to improper contracting to billing manager
Track consistent claim processing errors and report to billing manager
Review requests for patient refunds
Ensure questions/concerns from patient calls are addressed in appropriate timeframe
Knowledge of Insurance polices and regulations
Responsible to monitor and resolve accounts on a weekly basis
Understands and utilizes correct coding guideline, insurance carrier policies and proactively uses carrier websites
Performs duties in accordance with organizational values, policies, and procedures
Other data entry duties including commission trackers
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
