Job Overview:
Responsible for the accurate pre-analytic processing of laboratory specimens and ensuring delivery of those specimens to the appropriate laboratory section. Includes the handling of biohazardous and infectious material while following proper safety precautions. Also responsible for assisting client services and technical associates in resolving specimen quality and integrity concerns.
Qualifications: Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred qualifications include 2 or more years of related phlebotomy or laboratory assistance experience.
Basic computer skills.
Strong customer service and teamwork skills to support productive workflow.
Must be able to communicate effectively by speaking clearly and distinctly in English

Essential Functions:
Extensive use of computer keyboard.
Frequent change from sitting to standing position.
Contact with potentially infectious specimens and patients.
