Hackensack Meridian Health has an exciting new paid apprenticeship program for anyone interested in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)!
Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) is partnering with approved NJ EMS training centers to provide an opportunity for individuals looking to enter the healthcare field as an Emergency Medical Technician. Candidates for this role will be paid to attend the program. The cost of tuition and books will also be covered. While the program is in session, students will have the opportunity to begin their Hackensack Meridian Health orientation and onboarding.
Upon successful completion of the EMT Apprentice Program and NREMT examination, candidates will commit to a minimum of two years of employment at Hackensack Meridian Health as a full-time EMT.

This 12-week apprenticeship program offers the following:
8-week intensive EMT training program, followed by 4 weeks of clinical operational training
Earn an EMT certification and work in emergent and non-emergent settings
Full-time paid apprenticeship leading to full-time employment
Health benefits starting on day one
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Valid Driver's License from a USA state.
This apprenticeship program begins on June 17th, 2024, and the training will occur in Neptune, NJ.
