Duties:
Demonstrates competency with rhythm strip interpretation. Immediately notify RN and/or physician of any life-threatening arrhythmias. Notifies RN of changes in patient rhythm. Demonstrates competency in activating emergency code systems. Able to Place calls to physicians. Posts rhythm strips each shift as per policy and procedure. Demonstrates competency in CPRS documentation. Assists physicians and nurses with CPRS documentation as necessary. Completes extra duties as assigned.
EDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalency 6 months to 1-year experience in a healthcare setting in basic ECG and arrhythmia interpretation.
Certification in EKG preferred!
CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS - AHA approved
