Job Title:

• Medical Biller
  

Responsibilities:

• Review new patient records in billing software, and initiate billing process

• Review existing claims in billing software and follow up on outstanding issues

• Review outdated claims in billing software to research and resolve as necessary

• Work with insurance companies to resolve billing issues

• Properly escalate billing issues where necessary

• Follow company processes and procedures carefully

• Prepare and update summary documentation as required

• Other duties as assigned by management

• Ability to meet deadlines and expected collection goals

• Ability to work independently, and be self-motivated

• Strong critical thinking and investigative skills.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent required

• 5+ years of experience with medical billing

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively with minimal supervision

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities

• Keen attention to detail with strong analytical skills

• A professional, courteous, enthusiastic, and conscientious attitude, willing to fulfill group goals and work requirements

• Ability to deal positively with coworkers and supervisors, and support management decisions

• Ability to function as a contributing team member while meeting deadlines and productivity standards

• Knowledge of ICD-10

Salary:

Additional information:

• We are seeking a responsible, organized Billing Specialist, who will perform both medical billing and collections for our laboratory. The right candidate will be familiar with No-Fault insurance and Workers Comp, as well as private and Medicaid insurances.
