Certified Nursing Assistant(CNA)
Position: CNA
Location: Eatontown, NJ 07724
Contract: 9 Weeks
Shift: 7am - 3pm
Hours/week: 37 Hours
Pay Range: $20 - $22 Per Hour
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various settings including hospitals, clinics, assisted living facilities, and home care environments.
Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining meticulous medical documentation.
Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond promptly to changes in health status.
Support patients with activities of daily living such as mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts and catheter care when necessary.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to ensure seamless communication and documentation.
Perform specialized procedures including phlebotomy, aseptic techniques, and wound care tailored to individual needs.
Assist with complex cases involving critical care, ICU, emergency medicine, trauma centers, or behavioral health scenarios.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s through memory care strategies and compassionate engagement.
Contribute to infection control practices and uphold safety standards across all patient interactions.
Skills
Proven experience with Epic EMR systems or similar electronic health record platforms such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
Extensive background in critical care environments including ICU, Level I & II trauma centers, or post-acute settings such as skilled nursing or sub-acute care.
Skilled in managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or palliative care.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration protocols.
Competent in performing vital signs assessment, catheterization procedures, and infection prevention techniques like aseptic technique.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health challenges is highly valued.
Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively while demonstrating excellent caregiving skills.
Familiarity with medical-surgical nursing practices within outpatient clinics or home & community care settings.
Demonstrated proficiency in handling EMR/EHR systems like Home & Community Care software or DME documentation tools.
