Job Overview:
Conducts EKGs on patients of all age groups, with the exception of pediatric patients.Performs edits on EKGs utilizing hospital management system (MUSE).
Qualification
Required:
High School Diploma
Certification EKG interpretation
1 year experience

Essential Functions:
Performs 12-lead EKGs according to departmental policy throughout medical center
Prepares EKGs for Cardiologist review & performs all necessary editing utilizing hospital system (MUSE).
Distributes finalized EKGs to referring physician or to in-patient clinical unit.
Troubleshoot EKGs performed on nursing units to eliminate duplicates & errors.
Enter charges in the hospital system (SMS)
Provides translation for Hispanic & Portuguese speaking patients
Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service
Adheres to patient rights: provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records.
Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors.
Supports teamwork by cooperative problem solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc.
Organizes work sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate
