To work as a certified Electrocardiogram Technician (EKG) in New Jersey, you must meet the following:

  • Completed an Electrocardiogram Technician training course that is approved by the Board of Education in New Jersey.

  • Complete a competency evaluation by a New Jersey state-approved school.

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • 10 Electrocardiogram live tests.

  • This is a hybrid program.
