Billing Specialist [Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark]
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties.
We are currently seeking a Full Time Consumer Billing Specialist for our Patient Accounts located in Cranford, New Jersey.
Job Duties:
Prepare and submit/upload insurance claims to several payers
Complete patient insurance verifications
Reconcile and post electronic remittances as well as electronic fund transfers
Performs tasks required to ensure the timely and accurate follow up of claims resulting in payment of claims to the agency
Work with insurance/managed care companies gaining authorizations as well as single case agreements when necessary
Ensure any discrepancies in charges, payments, adjustment and demographic information are addressed
Job Requirements:
A high school degree or GED
Experience related to behavioral/mental health billing is preferred. As Medicaid is the primary payer, experience working with Managed Medicaid payers is also preferred.
