Medical billing specialists can work in an insurance office or in a number of healthcare settings, such as doctors' offices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Interacting with patients, retrieving information from their medical records pertaining to medical procedures, diagnoses, and symptoms, and properly submitting claims for payment are just a few of the responsibilities.

During our Online Medical Billing and Coding course, you will learn how to apply special codes to insurance companies, effective communication strategies, compliance requirements, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.  


Our Online Medical and Coding course can be completed in less than 8-weeks.  This is a self-paced program that is affordable and nationally approved.  The course is 100% online and mobile friendly too. You can take classes at your convenience.  Payment plans are available.



To work as a certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, you must meet the following:

  • Successfully complete an Online Medical Billing and Coding training course that is approved by the Board of Education.

  • Pass a Medical Billing and Coding certification program. 

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Minimum of a GED required.

  • Weekly and monthly payment plans are available. You can pay as you go.

  • Start for as little as $100.

  • Out-Of-State students are welcomed.

According to the state of AAPC, the average salary for a Medical Billing and Coders can range from $40,000-$90,000.  They have the option of working remotely or starting their own business too.
