We are seeking a full-time, Medical Biller to work in our Hospital.
POSITION SUMMARY
Qualifications:
Hospital Medical Biller must be able to perform their duties in a calm and professional manner, and skills in communication, organization, and time management are critical
Prior experience in the creation, submission, and completion of all hospital bills and insurance appeals
Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations
Office administrative experience and the ability to work independently while effectively researching and maintaining the most current government laws and patterns of insurance denial, etc
Computer literacy, especially with MS Office/EMR
Efficient multi-tasking
Strong organizational skills
Ability to prioritize workload based on strict deadlines
Effective organization of work assignments
Effective written and oral communication
Ability to self-motivate and learn quickly
Ability to review and understand insurance policy language and guidelines
Familiarity with Commercial Insurance, Medicaid and Medicare claims denials and appeals processing, and knowledge of NCCI guidelines and LCD/NCD Edits for appeals and denials
Familiarity with the Tri State Area Payers and Fiscal intermediary necessary
Familiar with Part B Billing Codes
Hospital/Facility Billing: 3 years (preferred)
Medical Biller: 3 years (preferred)

Attend mandatory and scheduled in-services/meetings
Arrive to work on time as scheduled
Demonstrate ability to work with others cooperatively.

Wear ID at all times appropriately when working.
Perform other position-related duties as assigned
