Course Requirements

To earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, candidates must complete 120 hours of professional development. The coursework for the CDA credential focuses on six content areas:

3. Observing and recording children's behavior
4. Working with families
5. Managing an effective program operation
6. Maintaining a commitment to professionalism

7. Two Forms of Government ID

8. Social Security Card 

9. GED / High School Diploma

Course Duration

The duration of the Child Care Development Course is 12 weeks. This course is divided into four modules, each lasting three weeks.
