1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions.

 

By proceeding with enrollment into a program in or utilizing any services offered by K&G Career Academy, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions and understand the school’s general policies. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school administration for clarification.These terms govern your relationship with the school, its staff, and its facilities. 

2. Enrollment and Registration

 

2.1. To fully enroll in K&G Career Academy, you must complete the registration process and submit required documents as outlined by the school's administration and admissions staff. Initial enrollment begins from your initial payment for your course.

 

2.2. All information provided during enrollment must be accurate and up-to-date. Any changes to this information must be promptly communicated to the school.

 

2.3 All students must be at least eighteen (18) years of age on or before the first day of class.

3. Tuition and Fees

 

3.1. Tuition, Administrative fees, payment plans, and any other charges are outlined in the school's official fee schedule. Payment plan, methods of payment and due dates will be communicated during the payment process. During an active payment plan, a week extension may be granted by the Administration for a student to make a missed/late payment. If the payment is not made after the extension, the student will be removed from the program.

 

3.2. Failure to pay tuition or other fees by the specified due dates may result in a mandatory transfer with additional fees or dismissal from the school. Any and all fees (Late, Transfer, ect.) are considered mandatory and non-refundable.

 

3.3 Certain classes may require the full tuition to be paid before the start of a clinical and/or the class itself. These due dates apply regardless of any payment plan selected. Courses with payments due by the first day of Clinicals/Class will only receive a maximum extension of 24 hours, and will only be granted at an Administrative officer’s discretion

  • Courses that require full tuition to be paid before clinical: [Online Phlebotomy Technician, In-Class Phlebotomy Technician, In-Class EKG Technician, Online EKG Technician, Online Medical Assistant, Online Patient Care Technician,etc.]
     

  • Courses that require full tuition to be paid before the start date of the class: [Online Home Health Aide, In-Class Certified Home Health Aide, CNA Bridge, and Certified Nurse Aide]

 

3.4 Students who fail the NHA exam must repay to retake the exam. NHA exam retakes must be re-paid in full. All NHA exams must be scheduled no less than 8 days in advance.

 

3.5 Tuition deadlines apply regardless of any payment plan selected. Payment plans and tuition deadlines apply starting from initial payment. If a student cancels or fails to maintain their payment plan, it will default, which will result in payments being due per school tuition deadlines. The Administrative Fee is considered due in full regardless of the tuition deadlines if not part of an active payment plan

 

3.6 Any and all independent individuals completing 3rd party tuition payments made for a student are considered the responsibility of the student to manage. K&G Career Academy is not responsible for navigating or collecting payments between any independent 3rd party individual which completes, or attempts to complete, any payment(s) on a student’s behalf. 

 

3.7 Any independent 3rd party payments made towards a student’s tuition do not grant any independent individual 3rd party additional authority or control over a student’s account. 

3.8 All payments up to the total cost of the administrative fee (which is different for each course) will apply to the administrative fee prior to any other section of tuition. The administrative fee is a deposit that is non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of enrollment or registration application status unless otherwise stated.

 

3.9 Tuition deadlines are in relation to tuition (Tuition and the Administrative fee are defined separately, as the administrative fee is non-refundable at any point) amount due per week for all students:

  •  Within three business days of initial payment, students are responsible for 0% of the tuition.

  • Within the first week of initial payment, students are responsible for 50% of the tuition.

  • Within the second week of initial payment, students are responsible for 75% of the tuition.

  • Within the third week of initial payment, students are responsible for 100% of the tuition.

Students who drop, fail, or otherwise withdraw from a course will have any/all extensions on payments voided, and all balances beyond current payments to the school in accordance with the school’s Tuition deadlines will be considered due within 24 hours. 

 

4. Attendance and Punctuality

 

4.1. Students are expected to attend classes regularly and punctually. Excessive absences may impact academic progress and eligibility for program promotions and benefits.

 

4.2. Students or their parents/guardians must inform the school in advance about any absences or delays. Proof or official documentation of the extenuating/emergency circumstances may be requested by the school to verify a student’s absence(s)
 

4.3 Students are expected to make up any missed scheduled course days, and must communicate with their instructor(s) and school administration to ensure these make up dates/times are approved and tracked where possible.

 

4.4 Students who miss mandatory class days such as Clinical days or Orientation date(s) must immediately notify K&G Career Academy as mandatory transfers or failure from the program may occur.

 

4.5 Class time lost due to cutting class will be recorded as unexcused absences. Any student who comes in late, or leaves class early are considered to be cutting class unless excused by Administration or a student’s instructor.

 

4.6 Students who do not complete a course without a formal withdrawal from the program, but are still in otherwise good standing, will still be responsible for all course requirements, balances, and documentation and will be designated as a Drop, indicating they have dropped the program, and will need to provide documentation before returning.

 

4.7 If a student has dropped a program for over 6 months, the student will Fail from the program. Failing a course will require a student to repay and re-enroll in order to retake the course from the beginning.

 

5. Code of Conduct Summary


5.1 No types of proven dishonesty, no matter the form, are permitted. Including but not limited to cheating, plagiarism, providing false or manipulated information.

 

5.2. Respectful behavior towards fellow students, staff, and school property is expected to be present in a student's words and actions, all forms of biased behavior in writing or spoken form will not be tolerated. 

 

5.3. Any and all forms of bullying or discrimination, harassment of any kind,  disruptive or obstructing or manipulating behavior, or any form of physical, verbal, or mental abuse of any person on school premises or at functions sponsored or supervised by the school will not be tolerated.

 

5.4 Violation of, or attempts to violate, the law on school premises, including but not limited to, the use or consumption of alcoholic beverages and/or controlled dangerous substances on school premises is not permitted.

 

5.5 No attempts to harm any person on school premises or at functions sponsored or supervised by the school will be tolerated

5.6 No theft or damage to the school premises or damage to the property of a member of the school community on the school premises will be accepted. Any/all students responsible will be required to pay for any damaged/stolen property. 

 

All students must adhere to the school's code of conduct and general rules and policies. Violations will result in appropriate disciplinary actions up to and including dismissal or expulsion. 

 

6. Academic Policies

 

6.1. Students are expected to complete assignments, projects, and assessments to the best of their abilities. Any medical training classes provided by K&G Career Academy are to be considered and treated as preparation for work in the medical field and students will be upheld to those standards.

6.2. Plagiarism and cheating are strictly prohibited. Any violations will result in appropriate disciplinary actions.

 

6.3. To successfully pass the program, all exams must be completed with a score of 90% or higher. Additionally, students must pass the clinical portion in its entirety. Failure to achieve the required passing grade will result in the need to retake the exam or the entire program.

 

6.4 Students who fail to maintain the minimum grade point average of 80 percent required for graduation will need to enter a probation period regardless of notice. Students unable to increase their grade point average may be dismissed from the program, or will fail from the program as a whole.

 

6.5 Failing a course will require a student to repay and re-enroll in order to retake the course to reach certification or program requirements.

 

 

7. Health and Safety

 

7.1. Students and staff are required to follow the health and safety guidelines established by the school. These include protocols for illness, emergencies, and hygiene. For hygiene and safety purposes, long hair should be tied in a proper bun or pony tail, and nails must be kept at an appropriate length, not exceeding 0.25 or 1/4 inches past fingertips.

7.2. Students who attend clinicals or in-person classes must wear appropriate attire (Scrub top and Scrub pants) and solid, close-toed shoes. For Non-CNA students, any solid, single color scrubs are permitted. 

 

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) students must have the official K&G Career Academy grey Scrub top with solid black or greyany single color scrub pants, and closed-toe shoes to be considered as being in proper uniform.

7.3. Students or their parents/guardians must inform the school of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect the student's well-being while on school premises.

 

7.4. Our Phlebotomy program is carefully regulated to meet all industry safety standards and procedures. We prioritize proper training, strict adherence to guidelines, and best practices to ensure a safe and professional learning environment for all students.

 

7.5. Students who fail to complete program requirements prior to Clinical sections will not be permitted to proceed with the program under both academic and safety regulations.

 

7.6 Certified Nurse Aide students must provide physical exam results, immunization records, and an MMR/IRGA test. This documentation must be completed and dated prior to the course start date. Any physical exam results, immunization records, and MMR/IGRA test information cannot be older than 1 year from my course start date.


8. Work Readiness Support

 

8.1. Students are offered additional opportunities to schedule meetings with our Student Services team for help with preparation for their career fields, these meetings must be scheduled in advance.

 

8.2.  Student Services is intended to assist students with preparation for potential opportunities in their new field and cannot guarantee employment or a specific income.

 

8.3.  K&G Career Academy, and its Student Services department are not considered a job agency and cannot submit applications, schedule interviews, or negotiate income on a student’s behalf.

9. K&G Book Store

 

9.1 The K&G Book Store is for students to acquire essential study materials, many of which are mandatory for their courses. The textbooks, workbooks, and uniforms sold will be used for your In Person training and Online studies, and must be obtained as required BEFORE the start of the course.

 

9.2 Orders in which items shipped from the K&G Book Store cannot be cancelled once shipping is in progress. Orders which are changed from Shipping to Pick Up at a student’s request will incur a 7$ processing fee. Orders changed from Pick Up to Shipping will also incur a 7$ processing fee. 

 

9.3 All sales made using the K&G Book Store are final and no refunds or returns will be processed.

 

10. Personal Belongings

 

10.1. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings of students.

 

10.2. Students are advised not to bring valuable items to school.

 

11. Communication

 

11.1. The school will communicate important information via official channels such as emails, letters, social media, text messages, voicemails, phone calls, and the school's website.

 

11.2. Students and their parents/guardians are encouraged to maintain open communication with the admissions team, teachers, and school administrators.

 

11.3 Classes and general communications will be primarily in English. Students who cannot understand or communicate in English will not be able to communicate or proceed with courses effectively and may require administrator intervention

 

12. Privacy

 

12.1. The school respects the privacy of students and their families. Personal information collected during enrollment will be used only for school-related purposes. Our applications are HIPAA compliant. 

 

12.2. The school may use photographs or videos of students for promotional materials unless explicitly informed otherwise by students, parents, or guardians.

 

12.3 In order to request student records for work or other official purposes, the student must submit a formal request to K&G Career Academy which includes the office or agency name, address, contact information, and express clear consent to have this information sent as intended. Personal identification and medical records or documentation are not considered to be items available for request within student records.

12.4 Any student records requested and approved will be sent electronically or by mail directly from the institution to the recipient specified, ensuring they remain official and tamper-proof. No student records will be provided in-person and no student records will be sent to residential properties 

 

13. Amendments

 

13.1. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. The school will notify students or their parent/guardian of any amendments in advance of any changes that may affect the student’s enrollment.

 

13.2. Continued enrollment after the amendments are made will be considered as acceptance of the updated terms.

 

14. Termination of Enrollment, Withdrawal, and Refund Form

 

14.1. The school reserves the right to terminate a student's enrollment due to academic, behavioral, or other reasons as outlined in the school's policies.

 

14.2. Termination may also occur if tuition fees or other outstanding charges remain unpaid.

14.3.  If a student wishes to withdraw, students must fill out a withdrawal notification and submit it to the school director within five (5) business days of the date of withdrawal. This document must contain the student’s name and date of withdrawal. An emailed withdrawal notice is considered an acceptable method to submit withdrawal notice if approved by Administration. A student who has a student loan, grant, or has been sponsored by a separate organization and withdraws from the program is responsible for notifying the institution(s) of withdrawal from the school. 

 

14.4 A refund request form will be required in lieu of a signed withdrawal notice should a student wish to request reimbursement upon notice of withdrawal. Refund requests that fail to submit the proper documentation needed for this form will not be approved.

 

14.5 Should the student’s enrollment be terminated, or should the student drop or withdraw for any reason, any related payment plans will be cancelled

14.6. A full refund of the tuition amount (not including the administrative fee which is different per each program) will be given if a student withdraws no more than three (3) business days after the date of initial payment. (not including the administrative fee).

 

14.7.  For all courses, the school may retain the refund processing fee and the non-refundable administrative fee, plus a pro-rata portion of the tuition calculated on a weekly basis per Tuition deadlines. 

 

14.8. Books, Supplies, and Testing Fees are considered non-refundable upon purchase. All partnership services provided by K&G Career Academy are non-refundable once payment has been processed. This policy applies to all collaboration agreements, partner in talent acquisition, recruitment services, sponsored emails, marketing services, affiliate partnerships, and any other service provided under a contractual or partnership agreement

15. Grants, Student Loans, Scholarships, Sponsorships, and Partnership Services

 

15.1. All partnership services provided by K&G Career Academy are non-refundable once payment has been processed. This policy applies to all collaboration agreements, partner in talent acquisition, recruitment services, sponsored emails, marketing services, affiliate partnerships, and any other service provided under a contractual or partnership agreement. By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge and agree to this non-refundable policy. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact us before finalizing your purchase.

 

15.2 K&G Career Academy does not award grants or scholarships at this time. We do, however, honor grants, scholarships, and sponsors that our students have been awarded from outside organizations. 

 

15.3 Any 3rd party disputes or chargebacks, whether from an independent individual or agency, will be the responsibility of the student to reimburse in accordance with their tuition deadlines and larger school policies.

15.4 Students, who are sponsored by agencies who complete payments for students and enter independent contracts or any form of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the school, will still be required to submit a registration application agreement and will be held to the standards and responsibilities of K&G Career Academy’s rules and policies. 

16. Transfer Requests

 

16.1 Transfer requests by students to later/different clinicals or class dates than originally scheduled may incur an additional $250 fee. Transfers will not be authorized until all requirements for the transfer are met. The Administrative fee is considered non-transferable

16.2  All tuition payments are non-refundable as a result of a transfer. The administrative fee for each class is non-transferrable. All transfers are non-reversible, and are considered one-time only requests.
 

16.3 Any students who transfer will be required to meet with an administration officer, and will be removed from their current class roster once the transfer request is confirmed. Additional requirements may need to be fulfilled depending on the transfer itself, and circumstances regarding the request at hand. 

16.4 Mandatory transfers issued by the school as a result of failure to adhere to policies which will affect a student’s ability to begin or continue within a program will incur a $250 transfer fee, and is non-negotiable. 

 

16.5 Failure to submit any payments or other requirements on time will result in a transfer being declined and the student will remain classified as an active student within their current course.Students who fail to transfer will be responsible for all items within their original program.

16.6 Any students who fail to transfer and fail to complete requirements needed to proceed in a class as required will be dismissed. Dismissals may be temporary or final, depending on the circumstances and school policies.

 

17. Enrollment Agreement

 

I hereby certify that the facts set forth in my enrollment, registration application and communications with the school staff, administration, and instructors are true, accurate, and complete to the best of my knowledge. I will be at least 18 years of age or older at the time of the program start. I understand that any misrepresentation, falsification, or omission of information may disqualify me from further consideration for enrollment or course progression, including any kind of academic dishonesty. 

 

If discovered at a later date, it may be considered grounds for immediate expulsion under the school Code of Conduct. 

 

I authorize the investigation of all statements and information contained in my application and communications. I understand that students must direct complaints to the school director or administrator within 48 hours of the event and the decision of the director and/or appeal panel is final. I understand that prior to the start of the program, I understand I am required to have all necessary documents, including my physical exam results, immunization records, and an MMR/IRGA test if specified for my program, submitted as required and on time. 

 

Without these documents, I will not be eligible to begin the class. If a scheduled course day is missed, it must be made up. I also acknowledge that I have the option to register for the NHA certification for an additional fee of $250.00 (information may be requested at any time by consulting with the admissions office). I acknowledge that I must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent to take the NHA Exam.

 

A full refund of the course amount (not including the administrative fee which is different per each program) will be given if a student withdraws no more than THREE DAYS after the date of initial payment. I understand that I will need to submit a Refund Request form for Director review should I wish to receive money back. I recognize that the administrative fee is a deposit that is non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of enrollment or registration application status, and all payments up to the total cost of the administrative fee (which is different for each course) will apply to the administrative fee prior to any other section of tuition.

I understand that transfers may incur an additional $250 fee, and failure to submit any payments or other requirements on time for a transfer will decline my request, and that I’ll remain classified as an active student within my current course, with no changes to my currently expected attendance and class responsibilities. I also accept and understand that Mandatory transfers issued by K&G Career Academy, generally as a result of missing documentation or payments, will incur a $250 Transfer fee and failure to pay this fee will result in my removal from the program.

 

In the event after the end of a course; If I have a remaining balance, I authorize K&G Career Academy to process my debit/ credit card with the remaining unpaid balance tuition after the course, and that outstanding payments will result in them being submitted to collections for recovery, and I accept that students who do not finish their payments will not receive a certificate of completion.


I understand that K&G Career Academy is a state approved private vocational school, is not approved to offer college credits, and does not offer college credit courses.

I understand and accept all information provided to me before, during, and after my initial payment and enrollment in accordance with school policies, and will not seek to intentionally disrupt or violate any aspect of them. I will remain attentive in my classes and I understand that any medical training classes provided by K&G Career Academy are to be considered and treated as preparation for work in the medical field and I will be upheld to those standards.
