Summary
As a Phlebotomy Technician at North Shore Medical Labs, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing blood draws and specimen collection. Your expertise will ensure accurate testing and contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
Perform blood sampling and venipuncture procedures with precision and care.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during specimen collection.
Process specimens according to established protocols to ensure accurate testing results.
Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns.
Maintain accurate records of patient information and specimen collection details.
Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
Requirements
Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician or equivalent experience required.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare providers.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in specimen collection processing is preferred.
